About Me
Malachy P. Corrigan, N.P. is a New York State Licensed Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatry, B.C. specializing in individual and couples therapy. He currently maintains an interactive, solution-focused private practice in Nassau County, where he sees a broad spectrum of clients.
His therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. He integrates evidence-based therapeutic approach with medication as necessary to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, he works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
With more than three decades of experience, Malachy has worked as the clinical director of the FDNY Counseling Services Unit where he treated emergency personnel and their families. He has also worked at the Veterans Administration, the NY Stock Exchange, and the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. He has contributed to a book and multiple peer-reviewed articles on PTSD and has been profiled by the New York Times, the American Red Cross, and Firehouse magazine.
